Securing fuel cells in outdoor containers was a whole new challenge for Lock Your World. These fuel cells were manufactured by none other than Emerson Network Power. The cells are supposed to secure outdoor telecommunications' containers, as Michael Mansfeld explains, Key Market Manager, Knürr Outdoor Solutions, Emerson Network Power: "In the event of a power cut, batteries can power the base stations running the telecommunications applications for ca. 2 hours. Once the batteries are empty, the fuel cells come into play: These fuel cells installed directly in our outdoor containers start up automatically and take over the base stations' electricity supply as a so-called emergency power system (NEA) for at least 72 hours."mehr...
