With approximately 234,000 employees, the security industry makes an indispensable contribution to Germany's internal security.
According to initial estimates, the entire security industry will generate revenues of over 12 billion euros in 2015. BDSW members include companies from all areas of the security industry. Their core businesses and competencies are focused on security services. According to preliminary estimates, the turnover of this sector will amount to approx. 6.3 billion Euros (2015). This means that security services account for over 45 percent of the security industry's market share. 4,100 companies employ 218,000 security employees, which is 72 percent of the security industry's workforce.
